Nipponosaurus was a large herbivore (plant-eater) that
lived during the
Cretaceous period,
between about 89 and 84 million years ago.
It lived in eastern Asia -
fossils
of the animal
were first found in
1934
in what was then the Karafuto Prefecture of
Japan, but is today Sakhalin, Russia.
Nipponsaurus was about 25 feet (7.6 meters) long.
