Moschops was a genus of mammal-like reptile
that lived during the middle Permian period about 255 million years ago. It lived in the
region that is today the Karoo in
South Africa.
Moschops was large herbivore (plant-eater) with short peg-like teeth.
It was the largest animal in its habitat, and was about 16 feet (5 meters long).
Moschops was heavily built, and it had a short and heavy tail, and seems to also
have had a thick skull.
