Rhamphosuchus was a genus of crocodilian that
was related to the modern gharial and false gharials.
It lived in India in the
Miocene and Pliocene epochs.
The fossils of the animal
which have so far been found, are incomplete and consist
mostly of skulls and teeth, however based on these, Rhamphosuchu is believed
to have been the largest crocodylian in history, growing perhaps as long as
60 feet (18 meters).
